Weather Alert: Heavy Rains to Hit Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Telangana

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Telangana, predicting heavy rains in these regions till 4 April. The alert has been issued due to a low-pressure system that is expected to bring significant rainfall to the areas.

According to the IMD, the low-pressure system is likely to move west-northwestwards, causing heavy to very heavy rainfall in some parts of Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Telangana. The department has advised residents to take necessary precautions and stay indoors during the heavy rainfall.

The full forecast till 4 April is as follows: Chhattisgarh is expected to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall, with some areas receiving extremely heavy rainfall. Maharashtra is also expected to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall, with some areas receiving extremely heavy rainfall. Telangana is expected to receive heavy rainfall, with some areas receiving very heavy rainfall.

The IMD has also warned of thunderstorms and strong winds in some areas, which could lead to power outages and damage to property. Residents are advised to stay safe and follow the instructions of local authorities.
